Phoenix Health Hubs value and respect our staff and expect all patients to treat them in an appropriate and acceptable manner.
All Phoenix Health Hubs enforce a Zero Tolerance policy towards violence, abuse, intimidation, or demanding behaviour.
The Practice defines aggressive behaviour as including personal abuse, threatening or aggressive comments, cursing or swearing, unwanted physical contact, and aggressive gestures.
Abuse of staff, whether verbal or physical, is unacceptable and will be reported to the Business Manager.
Any physical assault or abuse of our staff by a patient will be reported to the Police. The patient will be immediately removed from our enrolment list and required to register with another GP Practice.
Any physical abuse involving a patient from another practice will also be reported to the Police by the Business Manager, as well as to the patient’s registered practice. In all such cases, formal action will be requested.
Any incident of verbal abuse, whether in person or over the telephone, will be reported immediately to the Business Manager.
Patients are advised that personal abuse, aggressive or threatening comments, cursing or swearing, unwanted physical contact, or aggressive gestures may result in removal from our enrolment list.
The Practice also does not tolerate abuse directed at staff through social media, email, or text messages. Where such behaviour is brought to our attention, patients may be removed from the Practice Enrolment List.
